Day 14 Golden

Golden, Golden, Golden. Yep we are still in Golden. Got up early and drove back to Heather Mountain. Waited three hours in pouring rain and fog before we decided to give today a miss. This road takes no prisoners. Only two ways through the Rockies so the traffic is concentrated on the mountain passes making conditions very serious. I just have to wait this storm out.

Anyway on our return to town Rob was happy with a beer. I on the other hand went in search of giant choc buttons. After trying several stores I found some in an aptly named store – Overwaitea!!! Choc buttons opened outside Overwaitea – no guilty feeling there. Sadly they just don’t taste like ours – really struggled to eat the whole pack before getting back to hotel! Feel quite ill now but not very good at sharing! Can you believe that name!
