Day 23 Maple Creek > Gull Lake

All up early and after a sloppy Jo fry up we broke camp and headed up the Trans Canada. Strong cross wind made progress slow. Lunch stop at Tomkins famous for its sod hut. Took us ages to find the sodding thing. Had to ask a local “crazy you got lost in a small place like this A” anyway we found it and it was good. Then on to Gull Lake.75 Km. Made camp in the village lots of amused locals visiting the camp! Cowboys shopping in the village store with spurs and hats on horses outside thankfully!
Had a lovely BBQ in the evening sun. Played our instraments to entertain the neighborhood! We are still looking for a tambourin as Faye was completely useless on the Kazoo and harmonica even when she was wearing the neck brace ! Lots of wine made the toe nail situation tolerable!
Road kill – 2 x coyotes 1 x antelope/deer 1 x scunk – smelly!
Weather sunny NW
