Day 41 Floodwood > Proctor

Saturday - Up early. 6am start - the forecast was for rain latter so we had to get a move on. Roy Orberson has now changed names - Jack Duckworth  as she has now put plasters around her glasses to stop the wind catching her eyes. So embarrassing - I'm keeping well ahead! Good news is she has slightly recovered and is getting her sence of humour back. Visibility is tricky and she was nearly wiped out by a US mail box which pertruded into the shoulder lane. I nearly fell off laughing. We made good time and stopped at a diner for breakfast. The locals seemed amazed we arrived on bikes. Bacon and eggs and we were on our way. The rolling hills got a little longer and higher and pulling the trailer was no joke but as we topped the last hill and got our first glimse of the Great Lakes through the morning mist I have to say I cried and find it difficult to write this without welling up again! Cann't believe I got here. Great to have Michele along to experience the moment. We arrived in Proctor and checked in at the hotel. Moments latter the heavens opened - lucky girls.

Road Kill - 1 x black cat - not so lucky

Weather sunny then rain

Wind E

Sorry to hear about all our complaints Michele, your hubby confirmed last night that you were ill and no longer acting as he originally thought!! :)) Well done ladies, you should be proud of yourselves especially with being able to incorporate a drinking session or two en-route!! Look forward to seeing the official pics. xxx

We have arrived!

Just a 10 hour drive to find the peddling duo! Fantastic drive from Toronto to Sudbury after flight! The area outside toronto looks just like UK farmland is impressive and then started to drive along beautiful lake shore! 4hrs of 33c sunshine until we hit Sudbury limits and the storm chaser truck overtook us! Started to panic as could see the end (or beginning not being experts) of a tornado and started to panic huge thunder and lightning storm followed which cut even the power to street lights! Jim in all credit to him was completely calm I was weeping in terror after 24hrs awake good job he came along!

Heading to Sault Ste Marie this morning,
