Day 58 Arnprior > Ottawa

Saturday: Bike picked up from Full Cycle Bike Shop - cheers guys great job. Wore my new bike shirt donated by Run Run yesturday soooo coolio - thank you. Off to have another go biking into town. Back roads made for a slow day. Once on the Ottawa river bike path it was time to chill out and ride on an excellent surface for a change. Glorious sunny day as I peddled by beaches watching folks swimming and picnicking. Excellent vistas of a truly happy city. I stopped at a Bar called Memories and had an excellent late lunch. The Newarkers joined me after a tour of the parliament. A lovely day all round. Weather hot & sunny Wind NE Road Kill 1 x Raccoon 1 x skunk 1 x black squirrel

Sounds like you are making great progress. Are you keeping score on the RK? I think it must be something like 20X skunk, 10X raccoon and only 1X black squirrel. Good thing you still have your sense of humour and friends around to share it with you. Enjoy Quebec. Good luck with QPP. Hopefully they have a better sense of humour than the OPP/RCMP who forced you off the road on Thursday.

Best wishes, John.

Hey Jo,

fascinating project! When I heard about it for the first time I thought that this a mission impossible. The weather, the animals and just that massive distance is something the lazy German over here would´t even go for by car. Just amazing!!You can be sooo proud of yourself! The next time we meet you can definitely call me a wimp all evening long- this time it is well deserved; yes Rob you can do so as well :-)
So go ahead! We´ll think of you over here! Regards from Bremen

Hey Kai great to hear from you. No no mission impossible! We experienced the only mission impossible together at The Cider Center - one of those special ones to many I think! That horizontal journey back to Stoke has never been forgotten! Plus numerous other little escapades with that Bad boy Shelley! Great training for my challenge though! I can now stomach anything! Cheers!
