Day 61 Repentgney > Three Rivers

Up early trailer packed. Had to wait for the French owner of the motel to open her garage. She had impounded my bike not allowing me to have it in the room! This was a first and proved to be a costly mistaker!!! With temperatures souring through the 30’s combined with high humidity giving an actual of 42 I needed an early start. Eventually I managed to get her out of bed my 6.00am start became 8.30 & I battled the heat all day. The road was good with a bike lane for much of the time and I enjoyed following the river. Plenty to see made the day fly by. Stopping at fuel stations to add to
my water supplies. I drank 9 bottles! My planned route took a 20km detour right at the end with a bridge down I had to bite the bullet and go round making it a 120 km day. Where we’re my Newarkers when I needed them! All ended well with an excellent 5 star hotel – but Rob I’m worth it attitude – I booked in and took a long swim in a fabulous pool as the sun went down.
Miss my mates Newark ruled with Captain Cook at the helm! You guys back home – it’s Lincolnshire Show this week so I’m sure your having a great time together I peddle away thinking of you and a occasionally having a chuckle at the crazy things we do!
