Day 35 Altona > Hallock Minnisota

Sunday. Today we crossed then border to USA at Gretna into North Dakota. We are travelling south of Lake Superior as the roads are much safer for cyclists at this point and will cross back into Canada at Sault St Marie. Myxie woke up with the usual red eyes only today they have been super enhanced by the eye lash tint she had put on in the beauty salon yesturday. Dark glasses were the order of the day. The US customs official had to beg her to take them off and appeared a little worried about how contagious she was. I obviously informed him that Myxie was confined to rabbits and women who undertake the eye lash tinting proceedure. No more questions he was pleased to see us on our way. We waved good bye to Faye and John the last merry two weeks will be branded in our lives forever. Over the border we soon crossed again into Minnisota we are now laidened down with panniers and trailer but managed a comfortable ride of 70 km to the town of Hallock. Its sunday so all quiet on the western front. Early to bed as the bar is closed!
