Day 46 Trout Creek > Champion

Thursday – Lovely morning sunny but cold. Early start with 30km of hill climbing to start the day. I reached my 3000km and we celebrated over breakfast at a ski resort log cabin. Cracked on with some good cycling and made it to a fishing lodge early afternoon with another 100km day. We had the joy of an over keen fellow guest. Chicago Big Balls and his pet dog Yogi Big Balls. Sadley Boo Boo had passed away on account of a little misdemener! Don’t ask! Yogi became very attached to my sugar puff whilst Chicago Big Balls pointed out that Brits drive on the wrong side of the road. He was delighted also to share his extensive knowledge of other American tourist destinations but sadly had to retire to his room when he described Florida as the bowel of the earth as I pointed out that we had a holiday home there (not). Brit humour lost!  Jim had bonded with the lodge owner and disappeared with him for hours to a lost lake returning with a happy smile and seven fish – having drunk a large amount of moonshine during the process!
