Day 48 Sand River > Munising

Saturday > we peddled away along the shore of Lake Superior. Stopping to take in the fabulous views in every cove. Lunched in the pretty town of Munising and continued on the more remote stretch towards Newberry until the kids picked us up after just over 100 km. they had found a sumptuous hotel overlooking a bay of emerald green islands on what seemed a sapphire sea. Charlotte and Jim had spent the day at Picture Cliffs National Park. The idea was they would walk a trail
but once they had seen another bear in the park they decided to stay near the car. We are keeping this one quiet also! Michele is still ablivious to bear sightings!
