Wednesday! The forecast looked good. In reality the pouring rain just gave me the shivers. Rob was sure once I set off all would be good. Firstly I crossed a time Zone! One hour forward so only 7 hours between us! The first hour climbing around Heather Mountain being constantly battered by truck spray & head on wind damped the spirit as well as the bum! I felt like someone was filming Total Wipeout and I was the star. Just when I was about to give up the road became easier and the rain subsided. Rob was right! I made good time and arrived in Golden for lunch. Then on to Field. The wind finally behind me ment good timing at last. The Kicking Horse Lodge and a fantastic meal in Truffle Pigs finished a perfect day. Lay in bed hardly believing – just one more day climbing mountains.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
