Day 33 Somerset > Altona

Friday woke to another beautiful day but still have a head wind. Had a trial run with trailer on my bike and panniers on Michele's. All good but we are going to have a lot of extra weight to tow.

Day 32 Souris > Somerset

< Thursday 4am start . Woke Myxie up for an early start. Red and bulging eyed she staggered out.

Day 31 Souris

The wind blow so hard after 3 km day abandoned and we hit The Lounge bar three times. Katrina you were great service, food excellent. Our great friend Bill Griffis drove in to town on his way from Whistler to Thunder Bay.

Day 30 Reston > Souris

Tuesday Woke up early to see a moose walking across the golf course in front of our camp site. We had breakfast at the local cafe and met Debbie the owner rushed off her feet as her husband is in hospital yet again (well done Debbie great job).The town was filled friendly faces all of which wanted to meet the crazy old birds. We had the best send off still waving 20 km out of town as more locals saw us off.

Day 29 Carlyle > Reston

Monday: woke up with a foot under my armpit and it wasn't mine! Not happy still hasn't done anything about those toenails. I had a shower but Michele is busy working her way through a bumper pack of huggies!

Day28 Weyburn > Carlyle

Sunday: After I was attacked by three dogs on the highway last night and having to use my bike as a shield. Today's plan was to leave Michele behind me as dog bait! All was going well until we came face to face with a large Angusx Charolais bull stood in front of us on the highway looking very angry.

Day 27 Ogema > Weyburn

Saturday - up bright and early and on the road by 8am up bright and early and on the road by 9am as first time we had a puncture! Sunny day and we nailed it to Weyburn 82 km and no stopping. Michele is getting into the groove.

Lafleche

Thursday. Black clouds and the pitter patter of rain made for a rest day. Just as well because it gave us a chance to have a vet look at Michele no sorry the dog.

Day 25 Cadillac > Lafleche

Wednesday with the promise of a five star hotel this evening (5 star in Saskatchewan means - shower, flushing toilet, your own bed non of which we have had for the last three days!) Michele was ready and waiting to go. The wind behind us at last although with all those veggies last night I'm not sure how self propelled we were! Anyway we made good time on a great road.
