Up early trailer packed. Had to wait for the French owner of the motel to open her garage. She had impounded my bike not allowing me to have it in the room!
Sunday left Ottawa after a great send off from LIz and Greg (Kevin!) in fact a fabulous send off. Supplied with local delicacies - choccy bars for the trip. The day was hot and we stopped off at the CUmberland historic site where Lucy and I preformed what can only be described as an academy award winning sketch involving Lucy laying down on the tracks whilst I road the train.
Monday - up early already roasting hot. Followed the river to Montreal. Very tricky route and had to change route as the hotel availability was getting increasingly difficult.
Saturday: Bike picked up from Full Cycle Bike Shop - cheers guys great job. Wore my new bike shirt donated by Run Run yesturday soooo coolio - thank you. Off to have another go biking into town.
Friday > bike in dock so we had a day doing the girl thing! Shopping! Then over for a BBQ with Liz sister of our friend Ed.
Wednesday tried to sneak out but no! The Commander was breathing down my neck to get me up and away. My first challenge of the day can only be described as sunshine mountain!
Thursday Last night I had my own room. The beds offered in the shared room were a little too cosie and I thought the Newarkers could have a lay in. I woke early and made my way for a 6am breakfast.
Tuesday. Had breakfast early with commander Jill now self impossed head of the boot camp! Only one conscript so far though.
Sunday. The native New Yorkers arrival! (sorry did I say New Yorkers - I ment Newarkers!) my vvvbf - pre-fab Jill & her much younger sister-in-law Lucy defiantly not a Pre-Faber!
Monday - no more rest for the wicked! We drove up to my last stop near Sudbury and I set off on today's ride feeling rested and ready to take on the day. It soon became warm 33degrees and I sweltered along.
